| If I could
recommend just one thing to students that would make them all better musicians
and be extremely beneficial to the enjoyment they get from playing their
instrument, it would be to take private lessons. Taking private lessons
offers several key things:
1. The student gets instruction one-on-one with someone who is extremely knowledgeable on their instrument for 30 minutes. 2. The student is exposed to literature that would not be covered in a normal band class. 3. The dedicated private student learns at an accelerated rate and progresses faster through the levels of the band. 4. The student can work on specific individual problems with their private teacher and overcome them quickly rather than a longer process through band rehearsal, which does not allow as much individual time with each student 5. The student has a lot more fun playing the instrument! As you can see, the benefits of taking private lessons is worth their cost. Normally, a lesson costs around $20-30 a week, depending on the instructors experience and education. Please call one of the teachers below to see if they have an opening for your student!
